PHD (Positive Hair Day) is a project that aims to build positive racial and cultural identities for Black and mixed heritage individuals and their families living in the Brighton, Hove and Sussex area.
Positive Hair Day is a collaboration between Plenty Productions CIC and Shae Shae Creations Afro & European Hair and Beauty Salon.
Over the year 2010-11 we will be putting on free workshops:
Hair Care workshops designed to help people care for their Black and Mixed heritage hair (these workshops are open to Black and mixed heritage individuals and to anyone caring for, working with or related to the above; parents and carers are especially welcome)Talks and discussion workshops aimed at Black and mixed heritage adults including the opportunity to get involved in developing our educational mobile exhibition “Hairstories” Video workshops for Black and mixed heritage young people.
